Castle Cairn, is a First Person puzzle horror game set in a 17th century Scottish castle. The focus of the game is on solving complex puzzles to escape the castle that is trying to add you to its many hundreds of guests. You must solve these puzzles to escape while staying alive and find the truth of the curse before it is too late.
Onboarding
I joined development on Castle Cairn alongside the rest of Orange team, transitioning from AUVR to work on this puzzle horror game. The two games being so different required a lot of adjustments as well as catching up with the evolving vision for the game.
Being design lead for Orange Team, I made sure to arrange as many meetings for myself or my team to get to grips with Green team's plans, documentation, workflow and to also find where we will fit into all of this.
Ultimately, I was trusted to lead the design for the entrance area of the castle level including the puzzles within and everything that would entail.
