In Artefacts Unearthed VR, you are an archaeologist following in your family's footsteps, armed with your parents’ tools and an unfinished journal filled with dig sites left unexplored. Travel to breath-taking locations around the world, from Scottish castles to ancient temples buried in the jungle. Every site holds secrets waiting to be uncovered.
These images show off the first location in AUVR, the workshop, as well as the art style. This area acts as the home-base for the player where artefact restoration, research and storage takes place.
During development, I lead the level design for the first dig-site level set in Scotland featuring a ruined castle. Between meetings with the design team and documenting our plans, I moved on to create a block out for the level while communicating with the art team about the assets required.
